As a part of the WeAreWonder production crew
on the live coverage of the 2026 solar eclipse, I was
asked to broaden out the visual identity by Asta Dreboldt
across a selection of HTML broadcast graphics.
The over two hour livestream gained quite a lot of interest
both online and by the Amager Strand studio setup.

Firstly, a breaker was needed.
I began working flexibly with the elements
of the logo, making the eclipse come to life.
It was requested that the logo would eventually appear
in its final, masked form, so that it could be used as an end
frame with the original design in mind.
I made a real-time graphic representation of the eclipse
that could be used either as a fullscreen infographic or a
small overlay. This would let the audience keep track of
how the eclipse progressed while it happened.

In respect to the enthusiasts in the audience,
we made sure to use real data about the exact path of
the moon in order to get the visualizations just right.

Everything came together in our
playout system Falcon Play, where the
HTML templates were rendered through
a CasparCG integration.
